About, help and policies
Building materials, priced in the open
Projavi is a marketplace for the Nigerian construction supply chain — cement and binders, aggregates, reinforcement, timber, roofing, blocks, and the haulage and site services that move them. Merchants list what they hold and what it costs. Buyers compare across a subcategory before they pick up the phone.
The part that is unusual is the price. Every subcategory carries a median taken from its active listings, with the lowest and highest observed prices around it, so a buyer can see whether a quote sits near the top or the bottom of the market before agreeing to it. That figure is not set by us and it is not a recommendation — it is a reading of what merchants are currently asking.

What we check, and what we do not
We verify identity against a national number, and business registration against the CAC certificate. A merchant who has passed both carries a badge. We do not inspect stock, we do not hold money between the two parties, and we do not guarantee that a price shown this morning is the price you will be quoted this afternoon.
Everything else is between the buyer and the merchant. Waybills, batch certificates, loading times, and who arranges the tipper are agreed directly. What Projavi provides is the record — who said what, when, and at what price — which is why the Questions section on a listing is public rather than private.
How we make money
Two ways, both visible. Merchants can pay for a subscription that raises listing limits and adds tools, and they can pay to promote one listing to the front of a feed for a fixed number of days. A promoted listing always carries a tier badge, so paid placement is never disguised as ranking.
We do not take a commission on a sale, because we are not part of it. That also means we have no reason to push you toward a more expensive merchant.
Who we are
Projavi is operated from Lagos. Reach the team through Contact support — the same queue handles merchant, buyer and press enquiries.
Frequently asked
If none of these covers it, send us a message.
Where does the market price come from?
It is the median of the active listing prices in that subcategory, converted to a common unit and refreshed daily. The band beside it runs from the lowest to the highest price currently listed, and the mark shows where today's median sits inside that range.
It is a reading of asking prices, not of completed sales. A merchant who quotes below the band is not necessarily cheaper once haulage is added.
Why do prices switch between bags, tonnes and pallets?
Every subcategory has a base unit and a set of conversions. Tapping the price on a commodity card advances through them, so you can compare a merchant quoting per bag against one quoting per pallet without doing the arithmetic.
Individual listing prices are left in the unit the merchant quoted, because that is the unit they will actually invoice.
What does the verification badge actually mean?
A blue badge means we matched the account to a national identity number and, where the merchant is a registered business, to a CAC certificate. A gold badge means the same checks plus an active Premium plan.
Neither badge says anything about stock, price or delivery. It says the person is who they claim to be.
Does Projavi hold my money?
No. There is no escrow and no payment between buyer and merchant on the platform. You pay the merchant directly on whatever terms you agree. The only payments we take are subscriptions and promotions, from merchants, for the platform itself.
How do I promote a listing, and what does it change?
From Plan & billing, or the overflow menu on your own listing. A promoted listing appears at the front of Discover and of its subcategory for a fixed number of days, and carries a Basic, Premium or Enterprise badge for the whole run.
It does not change the listing itself, its rating, or where it appears in search results for a specific term.
Why can I not change my plan on the website?
If you subscribed inside the iOS or Android app, the store owns that subscription and it has to be changed or cancelled there. The website will tell you so rather than starting a second, parallel subscription.
Someone listed stock they do not have. What happens?
Report the listing from its overflow menu. Reports go to a moderation queue where a reviewer can resolve or dismiss them, and repeated upheld reports against one merchant affect the account, not just the post.
Reports are not published, and the merchant is not told who reported them.
Can I hide my phone number and still take enquiries?
Yes. Turn the number off in Privacy & blocking and buyers see a note that you keep it private. They can still message you, and the Contact merchant button is disabled rather than showing a dead number.
What is the difference between saving a listing and saving a subcategory?
Saving a listing keeps one merchant's post. Saving a subcategory adds a commodity to your watchlist, where you see its median price, its spread and its daily move — useful when you are waiting for a price to come down rather than tracking one seller.
Who can see the questions I ask on a listing?
Everyone. Questions and the merchant's replies are public, deliberately: batch dates, loading windows and minimum orders are asked repeatedly, and answering once in the open saves the next buyer the call. Use direct messages for anything specific to your order.
An endorsement is not the same as a rating?
No. A rating is a score any signed-in user can give a listing. An endorsement is one merchant publicly vouching for another, with their name attached, and it appears on the profile rather than on a post.
I deleted my account. Can I get the username back?
No. Deletion releases nothing — the username is retained so it cannot be claimed by someone trading on your reputation. Listings, followers and endorsements are removed permanently and are not recoverable.

Terms of service
These terms govern the use of Projavi by buyers and merchants. They are written in plain language on purpose; where a clause has a legal consequence, that consequence is stated rather than implied.
1. What Projavi is
Projavi is a listing and discovery platform. We are not a party to any transaction between a buyer and a merchant, we do not take custody of goods or funds, and we do not act as agent for either side. Agreements about price, quantity, quality, delivery and payment are between you and the other party.
2. Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything posted by staff you give access to. One person or business, one account. Usernames that impersonate another business, or that are reserved, may be reclaimed.
3. Listings
- A listing must describe stock or a service you can actually supply.
- The price must be the price you will honour for the stated unit and minimum order, for as long as the listing is live.
- Photographs must be of the goods offered, not of a comparable product.
- Duplicate listings of the same stock across several subcategories may be removed.
We may remove a listing that breaches these terms, and we will tell you which clause it fell under.
4. Verification
Verification confirms identity and business registration. It is not a warranty of stock, solvency, quality or conduct, and no badge should be read as our endorsement of a merchant.
5. Subscriptions and promotions
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next charge and leaves the current period intact. Promotions are bought for a fixed number of days and are not refunded if ended early or if the listing is removed for a breach of these terms.
Subscriptions bought inside a mobile app are governed by that store's rules and must be managed there.
6. Prohibited conduct
- Posting stock you do not hold in order to collect enquiries.
- Quoting one price on the platform and another on contact.
- Manipulating ratings or endorsements, whether your own or another merchant's.
- Harvesting contact details for use outside the platform.
7. Ratings, endorsements and questions
Content you post publicly — ratings, endorsements, questions and replies — stays visible if you later delete the listing it relates to, in an anonymised form. Deleting your account removes it.
8. Liability
We provide the platform as it is. We are not liable for losses arising from a transaction between you and another user, including non-delivery, quality disputes or price movements. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Nigerian law.
9. Changes
We will give at least 14 days' notice before a material change takes effect, in-app and by email to your primary address. Continuing to use Projavi after that date accepts the revised terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction.
Privacy policy
This describes what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It is written against the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
What we collect
- Account details — name, username, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses and links you add.
- Verification documents — identity numbers and registration certificates, held separately from your profile and visible only to reviewers.
- Listings and activity — posts, prices, ratings, endorsements, questions, saved items and follows.
- Messages — conversations between you and other users.
- Technical data — device, approximate location by state, and pages viewed.
What is public by default
Your username, business name, state, listings, ratings received, endorsements and public questions. Your email, phone numbers and addresses are shown only if you turn them on in Privacy & blocking. Your saved items, watchlist and messages are never public.
Why we use it
To run the marketplace: showing your listings to relevant buyers, computing subcategory medians from active listing prices, delivering the notifications you have enabled, taking payment for subscriptions and promotions, and investigating reports.
Prices contribute to a subcategory median in aggregate. We do not publish which merchant set the highest or lowest price.
Who we share it with
Our payment processor, for subscription and promotion charges. Our email and push delivery providers, for notifications. Law enforcement, where we are legally required. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share your contact details with a merchant you have not contacted.
How long we keep it
Account data for as long as the account exists. Verification documents for two years after a decision, then deleted. Transaction records for seven years, as tax law requires. Messages until either party deletes the conversation.
Your rights
You can see and correct most data in your settings, export it on request, and delete your account. Deleting is immediate and permanent — the username is retained so it cannot be claimed by someone else, but nothing else survives.
Contact
Data questions go through Contact support with "Data request" as the subject.
Cookie policy
Projavi uses a small number of cookies and equivalents in local storage. Most of them exist so the site remembers you between visits.
Strictly necessary
- Session — keeps you signed in. Expires when the session ends or after 30 days.
- CSRF token — protects forms from cross-site submissions.
Preference
- Theme — whether you chose light or dark. Local storage, no expiry.
- Unit — which unit you last viewed a commodity price in.
- Last panel — which settings or document page you were on, so returning does not send you back to the first one.
Analytics
Aggregate page and search counts, used to decide which subcategories need better coverage. Not tied to your account and not shared with advertisers. Search terms are stored without the searcher.
What we do not use
No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking pixels, and no third-party social embeds. Promoted listings are ranked by a paid flag on the listing itself, not by profiling you.
Turning them off
Preference and analytics storage can be cleared in your browser at any time; the site continues to work, having forgotten your theme and unit. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies will stop you being able to sign in.
Six routes, one surface. about-us, faq, support, terms-of-service, privacy-policy and cookie-policy are separate routes with no shared layout in production. The nav here is links with aria-current, not tabs, because each is its own route and the reader's position is a location rather than a view.
The legal copy is a placeholder and is labelled as one. Terms, privacy and cookies are marked Placeholder copy on the page itself, because in production this text is fetched from the admin content editor and must come from your counsel, not from a design file. About and the FAQ are written from what the app actually does, so they are safe to keep. The three figures in About are the same ones the Explore hierarchy reports.
The FAQ uses details and summary, so it opens, closes and keyboard-operates with no script at all — worth keeping when the content is what a user needs during a failure.
